Electronic Notice Delivery (Email and SMS/Text notices)

For Electronic Notices (Email and SMS notices distributed by ElectionBuddy), delivery depends on the vote start date and time, and the options selected on the Notice Page.

On the Notice Page, by default, notices are set to be delivered as soon as the vote opens, however, you can choose to either send notices as soon as the vote opens, at a future date and time, or only when voters request on an individual, voter-by-voter basis. Please see Email Notice Setup and SMS (Text Message) Notice Setup

When choosing to send notices when the vote opens, if your vote does not have a chance to sit in "Ready" status (Ie. the start date and time in the future), the notices will take a few minutes to generate but will be sent out as soon as they are generated. Otherwise, the notices are generated and queued. (queued notices are waiting to be sent out at your vote's scheduled time)

Postal Notice Delivery (Postcard notices and Letter notices)

For Postal notices, the notice takes a minimum of 2 days to be fully printed. Delivery can then take 1-5 business days if the addresses are within the continental United States, and will be longer for Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and international addresses.

On the Notice Page, by default, they are set to be delivered as soon as the vote opens, however, you can choose to either send notices as soon as the vote opens, at a future date and time, or only when voters request on an individual voter-by-voter basis. You can also delay the sending of postal notices to allow your voters to vote electronically first.

The expected delivery date is shown on the Review Page once the vote is "Running". If your voter has a US mailing address, you can track the postcard in the mail. We do not guarantee arrival dates for postal notices as the date is dependent on USPS and other countries' mailing services. Postal Notices - Mailing a Postcard or Letter with Paper Ballot

Other Notice Delivery

For manual notices distributed by the administrator (i.e. Printed Notices or Create Notices Yourself), it's up to the administrator as to when the notices will be distributed. You can access keys and printed notices from the administration area once a vote is “Ready to Run” and download and print them at your convenience. Please see Printed Notices and Create Notices Yourself

To learn more about on-demand Notices, please see Manual Notice Delivery at Voters Request.
