At times, changes in your organization's voting needs, or time frames for a vote, there may be an instance where you need to edit your scheduled start or end times. ElectionBuddy allows you to quickly and easily change a vote's schedule depending on its status.

Editing Your Vote's Start Date and Time

You can edit your vote's start date and time when it is in one of the below statuses:

  • When your vote is "Incomplete"

  • When your vote is "Ready"

To edit your vote's start date and time:

  • Go to the Details Page, under Vote Details

  • Enter your new start date and time

  • Your start date and time need to be before your vote's scheduled end date and time.

  • Select Save to save your changes

You are unable to edit the start date and time once your vote is already Running.

Editing Your Vote's End Date and Time

You can edit your vote's end date and time when it is in one of the below statuses:

  • When your vote is "Ready"

  • When your vote is "Running"

To edit your vote's end date and time:

  • Go to the Results Page

  • From the Actions dropdown menu, select "Change Dates"

  • The Edit Dates window will open, enter your new end date and time

  • Select Confirm to save your changes

The end date and time determine when your vote closes; however if all your voters have submitted ballots before the scheduled end date and time, ElectionBuddy will automatically close your vote.

If you are looking to close your vote early, please also see Closing a Vote Before the Scheduled End Date.
