ElectionBuddy understands there are situations where a voter may need to have notices sent to more than 1 email address, such as joint property owners or multiple email addresses for the same voter, while only being eligible to cast a single ballot. Enabling Multiple emails on the Notice page allows each email listed to receive a Notice to vote, providing equal opportunity while ensuring only a single ballot can be submitted for that voter.
Setting Up Multiple Emails
- Go to the Notice Page of the vote setup
- Under the Email notices section, select the box for "Multiple emails"
- Go to the Voter Page of the setup
- Ballot IDs will be automatically enabled. Ballot IDs serve as the unique identifier for the ballot.
- In the Voter List, enter email addresses for each recipient who should receive that notice, separated by a comma (,) semicolon (;) or space
- Each email listed for a ballot will receive the notice to vote in their inbox. Only the first vote submitted is accepted.
- Once a vote is cast, other recipients will see a message when accessing the ballot outlining that the vote has already been submitted.
