Importing a Voter List from Google Sheets

Organizations often use Google Sheets to store their voters' contact information in one place for easy management and updates. Importing voter information through Google Sheets is a quick and efficient way to import the voters' contact information into ElectionBuddy, minimizing typographical errors from manual entry.

To import a voter list through Google Sheets, first select “Import from Google Sheets” from the options under Voter Information.

Follow the steps below for Mapping Columns and Importing.

Mapping Columns and Importing

Once your file is uploaded, ElectionBuddy will tell you what information is required for the vote based on the setup.

Use the drop-down menus next to each item to tell ElectionBuddy which columns in your CSV file contain the required information. You can upload a Sheet with different columns and then map directly in ElectionBuddy which columns you'd like to use for the information required for your vote.

In the example below, the vote is set up to require Ballot IDs, Voter Labels, and Email Addresses for each voter.

After you have mapped the columns, select the "Import" button.

After importing, ElectionBuddy automatically Validates Your Voter List.

If there are no errors, you will see a green "Everything looks good!" message and can proceed with the rest of your vote setup.
