Reopening a Closed Vote

You can reopen a closed scheduled vote within seven days, which allows your voters to continue voting until the new end date without requiring new access keys.

To re-open your vote:

• Go to the Results Page
• Select Reopen Vote from the Actions dropdown menu:

• Edit the end time to meet your needs in the Edit window
• Select Confirm to re-open your vote

Important to note:

• Scheduled Start and End time: A vote can be reopened within 7 days of its closing.
• Manually Started:  A vote can be reopened within 8 hours (480 minutes) after the starting time of the vote.

Notices are NOT resent when reopening a vote. Please contact your voters to inform them of the reopened vote or send a reminder through ElectionBuddy.
