During a Running vote, it's important for the administrator to have the ability to monitor the status of voters. This allows them to provide technical or logistical assistance to voters throughout the voting process. They can also keep track of the voter turnout and quorum.
The status of the voters can be seen on the Voters Tab of the Results page.
Voters Status - Tab
On the Results page, the status of the voters can be seen on the Voters Tab or Downloaded in a report. Refresh the page to see updated information as voting progresses.
The status of the voters can be filtered with the Status and Notice Type drop-down menus. You can also use the search function to search for voters.
Please refer to the definitions below for the meaning of each possible voter status:
| Spoiled | The administrator spoiled a ballot before the voter submitted their ballot. |
| Voted, Spoiled | The ballot was spoiled by the administrator after it was submitted. |
| Undelivered | ElectionBuddy wasn't able to send the email/SMS/postal notice because of an error. |
| Voted | The ballot has been submitted. |
| Not Voted | The notice is delivered, but the voter hasn't submitted the ballot. |
| Opened, Not Voted | The voter has opened the ballot but hasn't submitted it. |
| Queued | The notice is queued. |
| Available | You're using manual Access Keys, but a key hasn't been assigned to a voter yet. |
| Key Surfaced | The administrator surfaced a voter's access key. |
| Printed | The notice has been printed. |
| Unsubscribed | The voter has selected Unsubscribe on their email notice, or they have been unsubscribed because they marked our emails as spam; please note that unsubscribed voters can still vote in the election, but won't receive any more emails about the vote. |
| Ballot Printed, Key Surfaced | The administrator has printed the voter's ballot for the voter; Key Surfaced is also displayed because the access key is included on the printed ballot. |
Voter Status - Download
To ensure the most relevant voter information is most visible, the Voter Status List is limited in what is shown. Additional information can be found in the Voter Status List Download. Download this file of additional information by selecting the “Download” button beneath the “Search” bar.
The Voter Status List Download does NOT include how a voter has voted.
| ID | The Ballot ID of the voter. |
| Contact Information | The Voter’s Contact Information. |
| Date Ballot Submitted | The date the ballot was submitted by the voter. |
| IP Address | The IP address from which the ballot was submitted. |
| Date Added | The date a voter is added to a Running vote. |
| Entered By Admin | The administrator who entered a ballot of the voter. |
| Date Ballot Printed | The date a ballot is printed. |
| Printed By | The administrator who printed the ballot. |
| Spoiled Reason | The reason a ballot was spoiled. |
| Spoiled By | The administrator who spoiled the ballot. |
| Date Edited | The date a voter’s contact information was edited. |
| Etc.. | And much more, depending on the settings of your vote! |
